Job Summary
As an Intermediate/Senior Piping Designer, you will be responsible for the development and coordination of piping systems for complex energy projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver design solutions that meet technical, safety, and regulatory requirements across all phases of project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Design 
  • Develop detailed piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform pipe stress analysis and ensure appropriate material selection, routing, and support design.
  • Prepare and review piping specifications, material take-offs (MTOs), and technical documentation.
  • Review vendor equipment specifications, and drawings, in compliance with the piping design.
  • 3D Modeling of piping systems, conceptual steel supporting systems, electrical designs and equipment.
Project Execution
  • Contribute to concept design, FEED, and detailed design phases across a range of project types.
  • Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil/structural, and electrical teams to ensure design integration.
  • Participate and/or facilitate model reviews and maintain the 3D model integrity throughout the design lifecycle.
Leadership & Quality Assurance
  • Provide guidance to junior designers and check design deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support project engineers and managers by providing input to schedules, resource planning, and deliverable tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in design.
Client & Site Interface
  • Support client design reviews and respond to technical queries.
  • Participate in site visits for data collection, field verifications, or construction support as needed.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Intermediate role: 5–10 years of experience in piping design within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Senior role: 10+ years of experience with a proven track record in leading piping design efforts on large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency with general piping design and 3D modeling software Plant 3D, BIM Collaborate pro, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
  • Experience in stress analysis and CAESAR II, will be considered an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of EU, North American piping codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Licensed Greek professional engineer with stamping capacity.
  • Fluent in English both verbal and writing.
