What You’ll Do

The BIM Manager defines the organizational arrangements, the BIM processes, the specifications of the BIM collaboration for the Project, as well as the development standards for BIM digital models of the Project. It establishes the rules of collaboration between all the actors involved in the BIM approach of the project Project (hereinafter, the “BIM Contributors”).  This position is based out of our Burlington, ON office location. 

Key Responsibilities
 
The missions of the BIM Manager are as follows:
- Develop the BIM objectives and BIM use cases defined in the BIM specifications of the project, the expected BIM requirements and standards.
- Implement BIM processes in consultation with BIM contributors, for proper deployment BIM use cases.
- Organize collaborative work.
- Animate and coordinate the collaborative process.
- Develop and provide common reference documents and tools.
- Control and coordinate the digital models of the project in accordance with the BIM convention.
- Assist the Project Management and BIM contributors in the smooth running of collaborative work.
- Develop a schedule for dissemination and control of models consistent with the schedule of studies.
- Develop a compiled model of all business models.
- Drafting of the BIM EXE agreement and its annexes in consultation with BIM contributors
- Help choose the collaborative platform concerning the BIM part, supervise its implementation for the BIM part.
- Recommendation of hardware and software to be used if necessary.
- Ensure technological monitoring of BIM or BIM-connected tools on behalf of the project.
- Validation of inter-software exchange processes.
- The BIM Manager will also be able to assist the company following the phases of the project for the development of certain identification or extraction of nomenclatures.
- The BIM Manager will ensure compliance with the BIM convention of the project in response to the BIM specifications of the Project management and the instructions of the Contractor, detailed in the BIM agreement.
- The BIM Manager is responsible for the good geometric coordination of the compiled model.

- The BIM Manager is not responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data provided by the various lots, the only specialists in their respective fields. 
- The project, the responsibility of a design office specialized in this field.
- The BIM Manager is not responsible for the entire exchange platform, but only the request of the organization of the BIM space.
